About Davenia – I debuted my first book, Naked and Unashamed, in March 2017. Since that time, I’ve started a nonprofit organization, Mazuri Ministries, designed to empower and encourage women in reclaiming their narrative and rewriting their story by better understanding God’s design for them. As a former researcher and professor, and continued lover of books, I’ve always had a passion for writing and now, praise God, I write full-time.

I consider myself a called-out, Jesus-loving, big-hearted, true worshiping work in progress. And most importantly, I’m a wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend, and a faithful servant of God. My favorite Bible text is Jeremiah 29:11 and I wait in confident expectation that God’s continued plans for me are exceedingly and abundantly more than anything I could ever ask or hope for.
